If you haven’t considered doing a bridal session, you should! A bridal portrait session is a popular Southern tradition where the bride gets dressed up in her full wedding look and takes portraits before her wedding day! So many brides don’t think they need one, but it is the perfect way to do a trial run for you bridal look while also getting beautiful portraits in your gown!
The bridal session takes place one to two months before the wedding, and is the perfect time to experience your full bridal look before the actual day arrives. You’ll do a trial run of your hair & makeup, test out different jewelry and veil options, see your bridal bouquet and even break in your wedding shoes! Having a bridal session allows you to make any changes to ensure a flawless look for your big day!
The session will be fun and relaxed, and you’ll get beautiful portraits in the dress that you spent so much time finding. Bring along your mom or a few friends and make it a day with your girls!
Another thing I love about bridal sessions is that they can take place wherever you like! Have a local park or dream venue that you love?! Most venues are available during the week for your bridal portraits. You’ll have not one, but two gorgeous locations for photos in your wedding dress!
Once your photos are edited, you’ll be able to view and print your favorites from your online gallery! Traditionally, a large portrait is framed and displayed at the reception for your guests to see and given as a gift to your parents after the wedding is complete!
